What is Tofu?

Tofu is made from soybean curds, the result of curdling milk from the soybean plant. Tofu is considered a vegan or vegetarian meat substitute and is a common ingredient in Asian cuisine. Tofu is a white, soft substance, often found in cubed form.

One of the most well-known tofu health benefits is that it's high in protein making it a good meat substitute. It’s also gluten-free.
